One of the things that users value most when using social networks is their agility and usability. That is why Instagram has decided to address this point, this time in relation to stories. While until now each story lasted a maximum of 15 seconds and creators had to upload multiple clips when talking about some long topic, this has just changed. Stories shorter than 60 seconds will be created and displayed as a single clip .
Longer and uninterrupted Stories to speed up content viewing
Thanks to this novelty, the content that users Email Data upload to stories will no longer be automatically divided into short segments. This will streamline the way content is consumed , since now a user will be able to skip a story that is not of interest to them within a profile to move on to the next one on that same profile, with fewer touches than before. In addition, this content will present greater continuity, without being interrupted by brief cuts.
Instagram had already begun testing this option at the end of last year with a select group of users. Now it is available to everyone .

Instagram continues its commitment to improving its video functions
The content consumption trend is clear: video triumphs and is the format that best captures and maintains the attention of users. All social networks are perfectly aware of this, which has led us to witness an arduous battle between platforms to see who attracts more users thanks to their improvements and novelties in regards to this format .
In the case of Instagram, throughout this summer it has been incorporating various new features in this field, which have partly blurred the lines between the different types of video it hosts. First, in June, it announced that it was extending the duration of Reels from 60 to 90 seconds. Now, with this new update, a single story could last almost as long as a short Reel .
A month later, in July, Instagram announced that all videos that lasted less than 15 minutes would become reels. This did not apply to videos uploaded to the platform before the update.
